Important information:
Many years ago we developed the Rega helmet on commission from the Swiss "Rega" air rescue service.
For trademark reasons, we will not use the name "Rega II" any longer.
The new name is "Pro Copter".
The technical specs remain exactly the same. New there is also a shell made of full carbon fibres.
We will continue to use the name "Rega II" but only for helmets sold directly to the Swiss "Rega" air rescue service.
We developed the helmet with the technical support of Mr. Robert Grob. He was closely involved with Peltor in Switzerland and he is still an expert for the application of Peltor professional electronics systems.
Mr. Grob [email protected] continues to manage the sale of helmets to the Swiss "Rega" air rescue service, and likewise the sale of Pro Copter helmets.
As regards professional electronics systems for the Pro Copter, in addition to the complete helmet, we can also recommend the German company Loescher electronics. You can reach them at the following e-mail address: [email protected]

This helmet is used by the medical staff who have to rescue injured people. They are inside the helicopter or on the outside winch. So they never receive a horizontal air flow directly from the front, but only from above.
As the visor is very short, it is not suitable for pilots flying powered paraglider or open microlights. In such craft, the airflow reaching the pilot causes uncomfortable turbulence between the visor and the eyes.
The Rega II was designed by Ignazio Bernardi, with technical consultancy from Italy’s most important helmet developer.
The result is a helmet with an exclusive, modern look.
The Pro Copter helmet is built using the same technology as in military applications including high-modulus full carbon or glass fibres in order to guarantee the highest possible safety standards.
When closed, the transparent or brown-tinted visor is integrated and protected inside the helmet, between the fibreglass shell and the polystyrene layer.
You can open or close the visor with the black button on the top of the helmet, just with one hand and while you are flying.
Easy to change just with one screw.
The polystyrene layer is very thick, in order to comply with the demanding penetration test that is part of E.N. 966 certification.
Large holes ensure perfect internal ventilation
This helmet has fixed internal comfort padding that can be replaced by larger or smaller-sized padding, thus varying the helmet size.
If the helmet is not a perfect fit, we can send new padding free of charge, irrespective of where you bought the helmet.
The helmet offers an important advantage: you can easily remove the padding and replace it with new padding, or simply wash and replace it.
The size of a helmet is always described by the inner circumference of the internal padding.
The size number therefore corresponds to the head circumference in centimetres.
There are 6 internal padding sets for the sizes:
The stainless steel wire sidepieces are plastic-coated.
You can easily adjust them with an Allen key (supplied with the helmet)
The system is a registered model.
We are the only company that uses this unique arrangement.
The strap can be adjusted to millimetre precision.
For EN 966 certification for this professional helmet, headsets are mandatory.
For professional electronics systems used with the Pro Copter Carbon, we work with the German company Loescher electronics. For any special requirements, you can reach them directly at the following e-mail address: [email protected]
Ear electronic headsets fixed to the helmet, are mandatory for EN 966 certification.
The Pro Copter is certified only with attached electronic headsets.
